In 1980, Guy and Jill Leone embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, founding G. Leone CPA from the humble confines of their home’s laundry room. Armed with nothing more than a table, chair, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, they laid the foundation for what would become a trusted name in accounting, tax services, and retirement planning.

1988

Born in 1988, David Leone’s journey in wealth management began long before he officially joined the company. Raised within the walls of the family office, David absorbed the intricacies of the business from an early age. Under the guidance of Guy and Jill, he worked alongside his grandparents throughout his teenage years, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. This immersive upbringing instilled in David a deep understanding of the importance of client care and the art of building lasting relationships.

In 1997, Guy Leone took a significant step in expanding the scope of his financial services. Recognizing the growing need for comprehensive financial guidance among his clients, Guy obtained his broker’s license. This strategic move allowed him to broaden the firm’s offerings to include retirement planning services. By integrating brokerage and retirement planning with the existing accounting and tax services, Guy transformed the business into a one-stop shop for financial well-being. This expansion not only met the evolving needs of his clients but also laid the groundwork for the holistic wealth management approach that Leone & Company is known for today.

In 2014, David embarked on a journey that would significantly shape his approach to wealth management. Entering the financial services industry as a wholesaler, David gained invaluable exposure to a diverse array of wealth management practices across the country. Over the years, he collaborated with thousands of advisors, each with their unique strategies and client approaches. This extensive experience provided David with a rare, panoramic view of the industry, allowing him to observe firsthand what strategies worked best in various scenarios. By witnessing every type of wealth management practice, from boutique firms to large institutions, David developed a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices and innovative approaches. This wealth of knowledge would later prove instrumental in elevating Leone & Company’s services and tailoring them to meet the diverse needs of their clients.

In 2021, after nearly four decades of dedicated service, Guy made the momentous decision to retire from the business he had nurtured from its humble beginnings. What had started in 1980 as a small operation in the family’s laundry room had blossomed beyond Guy’s wildest dreams. G. Leone CPA had grown into a respected accounting and wealth management firm, touching the lives of countless clients and becoming a cornerstone of financial guidance in the community. As Guy stepped back, he could reflect with pride on a legacy that had far surpassed his initial aspirations, leaving behind a legacy of service that will live on for generations to come.

In 2024, inspired by the birth of his first child, David embraced a pivotal moment in his family’s legacy. Recognizing the evolving needs of clients and the changing landscape of financial services, David made the bold decision to rebrand the long-standing G. Leone CPA into Leone & Company Wealth Management. This transformation marked more than just a name change; it signified a renewed commitment to comprehensive wealth management services. Under David’s leadership, the firm expanded its vision, aiming to serve the community not just for years, but for generations to come. This rebranding reflected both a respect for the company’s rich history and an ambitious outlook towards its future, positioning Leone & Company Wealth Management as a forward-thinking partner in their clients’ long-term financial journeys.
